Manufactured in the 1940s, this beautiful Tissot chronograph is powered by the legendary Cal.27CHRO and features an exceptionally rare 18k yellow gold case with a yellow Roman numeral dial. Among vintage Tissot chronographs equipped with movements such as the 15TL, 13CH, and 27CHRO—most of which are found in stainless steel cases—this is an especially scarce and desirable example crafted entirely in solid 18k yellow gold.

The dial showcases a remarkable design characteristic of the era, combining applied Roman numerals, dot indexes, and luminous diamond-shaped hands. The harmonious combination of the yellow-colored dial—often referred to as “yellow-on-yellow”—with the solid 18k yellow gold case creates an extraordinary warmth and richness of tone, making this an exceptionally valuable and attractive timepiece.

Powering the watch is the famed Lemania Cal.27CHRO movement, the legendary chronograph caliber that would later serve as the foundation for the movement used in the Omega Speedmaster.
