Manufactured in 1942, this Longines “Tre Tacche” Ref. 4142 is a 35mm waterproof model fitted with an exceptionally rare center-seconds movement.

While the vast majority of Tre Tacche models are equipped with small-seconds movements, this example houses the uncommon center-seconds Cal. 12.68N. The dial is equally remarkable. In contrast to the more restrained designs typically found on Longines watches of the period, it features a rare salmon-colored dial with Roman numerals arranged in a roulette-style layout. Combined with the center-seconds configuration, the full Roman numeral roulette design creates a uniquely distinctive and highly original appearance.

The watch remains in excellent overall condition, retaining the beautiful tone of its salmon dial and a screw-back case that preserves its original shape. Accompanied by its archive extract, this is a highly desirable collector’s piece.
