Manufactured in the 1940s, this Heuer stainless steel chronograph is a highly desirable and exceptionally rare 33mm waterproof “baby chronograph” powered by the renowned Valjoux 69 movement, presented in excellent condition with the ever-popular black gilt multi-scale dial.
At its heart is the Valjoux 69, a remarkably compact chronograph movement measuring only 23mm in diameter and regarded at the time as the smallest chronograph movement in the world. The watch features a relatively large and uncommon 33mm screw-back waterproof case for a baby chronograph, paired with an intricate black gilt dial displaying multiple scales, including a tachymeter and telemeter. Together, these elements beautifully capture the technical sophistication and aesthetic character of the era.
Another appealing aspect is its practical size—large enough for comfortable modern wear without sacrificing the charm of a vintage chronograph—combined with the everyday usability afforded by its waterproof case construction.
