This is a beautiful example of a rare Movado nurse's watch manufactured in the 1940s, featuring a salmon-colored dial and preserved in excellent condition.
At the time, many hospitals discouraged or prohibited the wearing of wristwatches, so these watches were designed to be attached to a nurse's uniform for practical use. The watch showcases a striking salmon-colored dial with applied Arabic numerals and blued steel hands, while its leather-covered case—similar to those seen on contemporary Movado Ermeto models—and its in-house movement reflect the high level of craftsmanship associated with the prestigious Movado manufacture.
The watch has been exceptionally well preserved overall and shows virtually no signs of having been used.
