Manufactured in the early half of the 1960s, this Zenith "Chronometer 2000" Waterproof model is powered by the legendary Cal.135 and features the rare non-chronometer dial variant.
Introduced in 1948, the Cal.135 evolved through three distinct generations. This example represents the final iteration, distinguished by its silver sunburst dial with applied baton indexes and baton hands, as well as its screw-back waterproof case bearing the "2000" engraving on the case back—features that beautifully reflect the design language and spirit of its era.
While some Chronometer 2000 models were produced with "Chronometer" printed on the dial, examples with non-chronometer dials are considerably scarcer. Due to their relative rarity compared with other variants, they have become highly sought-after collector's pieces among Zenith enthusiasts and Cal.135 aficionados.
