Manufactured in the 1930s, this Tavan is an exceptionally rare Staybrite model featuring a black sector dial.
Its elegant Calatrava-style Staybrite case and highly desirable black sector dial with white lettering—produced before the advent of gilt dials—beautifully capture the design aesthetics and refined character of the era. The watch is fitted with a rare Gay Frères bamboo bracelet (suitable for wrist sizes up to approximately 17.5 cm), allowing it to be enjoyed with an even more authentic period appearance.
Powering the watch is a Tavan-manufactured movement, distinguished by its beautiful Côtes de Genève decoration and finely chamfered finishing, reflecting the high level of craftsmanship for which the brand was known.
