Manufactured in the 1940s, this is a Movado "Calendograph", one of the brand's most celebrated models. It features the highly sought-after triple calendar complication and a rare three-step two-tone dial with applied indexes.
As one of Movado's signature timepieces, the Calendograph is renowned for its exceptionally well-balanced calendar display, incorporating twin apertures at 3 and 9 o'clock for the day and month, a pointer-date indication, and a practical quick-set function, making it both elegant and highly functional.
The dial features a two-tone silver finish accented by applied Arabic numerals and dot hour markers, creating a beautifully proportioned design that leaves no unused space. The stainless steel case, distinguished by its three-step case sides and stepped lugs, exudes remarkable presence and sophistication despite its non-waterproof construction, making it a particularly appealing piece for discerning vintage watch enthusiasts.
Powering the watch is Movado's in-house Cal. 475 movement.
