Manufactured in the 1960s, this Jaeger-LeCoultre ladies' driver's watch features a rare black gilt dial.

One of Jaeger-LeCoultre's signature designs, this model embodies the brand's philosophy of functional beauty. Its ingenious case places the crown at the 6 o'clock position, allowing the watch to be wound comfortably while worn on the wrist without obstruction. The rare black gilt dial combines applied Arabic numerals with wedge-shaped hour markers, while the movement is the beautifully finished Cal. 840, distinguished by its Geneva stripes (Côtes de Genève) and finely decorated ratchet and crown wheels. These details give the watch the distinctive character found only in the early production models, setting it apart from later examples.

The watch is fitted with a well-matched aftermarket bracelet that complements the case perfectly and accommodates wrist sizes of up to 17.5 cm.
