Manufactured in the 1940s, this Wyler is a rare rectangular waterproof model featuring an Art Deco two-tone dial in excellent condition.
This exceptional timepiece is fitted with an uncommon early waterproof rectangular case, secured by two screws on the caseback—a highly unusual construction for rectangular wristwatches of the period. The dial showcases a superb Art Deco design, combining a silver base with a white chapter ring, alternating Arabic numerals and square hour markers. Its beautifully aged patina has developed over the decades, giving the watch a rich vintage character and remarkable visual appeal.
Representing the transitional era when manufacturers were experimenting with various approaches to waterproof rectangular cases, this rare Wyler perfectly captures the ingenuity and distinctive craftsmanship of the period.
