Manufactured in the mid-1960s, this Universal Genève “Tri-Compax” is a superb waterproof model featuring an exceptionally rare non-luminous dial.

The Tri-Compax is one of Universal Genève’s signature masterpieces, introduced in the 1940s and featuring triple-calendar, moon-phase, and three-register chronograph functions. In addition to waterproof versions, the model was produced in numerous variations, including a wide range of dial and case designs.

This particular example features a substantial screw-back waterproof case with a twisted-lug design and tachymeter bezel. Among the white-dial Tri-Compax watches famously associated with Eric Clapton, this is an especially rare and unusual non-luminous version. Produced for only a brief period shortly after the introduction of Ref. 881101, it features a distinctive white dial paired with non-luminous hour and minute hands and a blued-steel central chronograph seconds hand, making this a particularly original and exceptional example.

Dial: Although there are slight signs of aging, the dial is in excellent condition with no noticeable scratches or stains.

Movement: The winding mechanism, chronograph function, and calendar all operate without issue. The accuracy is within approximately 30 seconds per day.
