Manufactured in 1933, this rare International Watch Company (IWC) model is powered by the renowned Cal. 87 and features an 18K yellow gold three-step wide rectangular case, a yellow three-tone dial, and an “ANTI-MAGNET” designation.
The wide rectangular case with its distinctive three-step design is particularly unusual for IWC, where smaller-sized watches are more commonly encountered. Among the wide variety of case materials used for these watches—including silver, Staybrite, and 14K gold—this example is especially rare for its solid 18K yellow gold case. The Art Deco-style three-tone dial, marked “ANTI-MAGNET,” is another highly distinctive feature. Adding further to its rarity is the early version of the Cal. 87 movement, which does not bear the “87” engraving.
