Dating to the 1940s, this is a rare "LIEMA" nurse’s watch featuring a beautiful three-tone dial. At the time, many hospitals discouraged the wearing of wristwatches, so these watches were designed to be attached to a uniform and used in that manner. The highly legible and practical three-tone dial, combining Arabic numerals with blued-steel hands, is complemented by thoughtful design details such as leather decoration on the case, making this a particularly distinctive piece. The watch has been preserved in excellent overall condition and displays the exceptional appearance characteristic of a near-mint-condition example.
