Produced in the 1940s, this Angelus chronograph is powered by the brand’s in-house Cal. 215 chronograph movement and features a Staybrite case and black gilt dial. It is an exceptionally rare, unused example.
There are some minor scratches and signs of age from storage, but the Staybrite case retains its sharp edges and substantial case profile in their entirety, while the beautifully glossy black gilt dial remains remarkably well preserved, displaying the distinctive character of an unused vintage timepiece.
The beautiful black dial, characteristic of the period, features gilt detailing throughout—not only the tachymeter and other tracks, but also the “ANGELUS” logo, “ANTIMAGNET,” and “SWISS MADE.” The Cal. 215 is also exceptionally finely finished, with meticulous details such as chamfered edges on components that are not normally seen on standard examples.
A precious original strap and buckle from the period are included.
