1930s very rare "TA-CY" Staybrite 30mm Cushion design rare Sector dial (Mint condition)

Manufactured in the 1930s, this is an exceptionally rare “TA-CY” Staybrite with a 30mm cushion-shaped case and a highly unusual sector dial. “TA-CY” is one of the dual-signed models using the first two letters of Tavannes and Cyma, respectively. Compared with the Cyma + Tavannes dual-signed models, TA-CY examples are considerably scarcer, making this a particularly rare model. Despite its compact 30mm size, the 30mm Staybrite case has a substantial presence, with thick, robust lugs and the characteristic volume of a cushion-shaped design. The dial is exceptionally appealing, featuring a peripheral “hachima-ki” track, centrally arranged 12, 3, and 9 numerals, and a sector-style layout combining luminous bar and dot markers. In addition to its rarity, the watch is distinguished by its outstanding design and is truly an exceptional example that has been preserved in mint condition, complete with its original period leather strap and buckle. It is powered by a Tavannes-manufactured movement featuring beautifully executed chamfering and Côtes de Genève finishing.
