A mid-1940s Universal Genève, fitted with the Cal. 263, featuring a 35mm round case with a stainless steel back and a silver roulette-style Roman numeral dial. This is a remarkable, apparently unworn example.
While Universal Genève is particularly well known for its chronographs, this model is an uncommon example equipped with the Cal. 263, a conventional three-hand movement. The beautifully designed silver dial features Roman numerals arranged in a distinctive roulette-style configuration, with the 3, 6, 9, and 12 rendered in gold mirror printing, while the remaining numerals are printed in black.
The elegant round case has beautifully flowing lines from the center of the case into the lugs, with the lugs themselves curved to follow the wrist naturally. The watch is accompanied by its original vintage tag bearing the model reference, as well as a vintage strap and buckle—further enhancing its appeal and originality.
Beyond its exceptional overall condition and completeness, the watch displays the distinctive beauty and freshness of an unworn example, making this a truly outstanding vintage timepiece.
