1969 UNIVERSAL "TRI-COMPAX " Rare Ref.181102 Exotic dial in 18K YG with Archives

Universal, "Tri-Compax", rare Ref. 181102, exotic dial, 18 karat yellow gold case, with archival document, circa 1969. One of Universal's masterpiece models with triple calendar moonphase and three register chronograph functions, which first appeared around 1940s. It has been improved to be more functional and practical in terms of water resistance and design. The Ref.181102, the last model in the vintage collection, was changed from the 36mm twisted lug design with outer bezel to the 38mm thick lug design with inner bezel. The production period was very short due to the impact of the quartz shock, and the number of manufactured and distributed watches seems to be very small, making it a very valuable gem. The watch is equipped with Cal.281, a famous Universal model with triple calendar, moon phase and three register chronograph. It comes with the original Gayfreres buckle and a valuable archive.
