This is a Universal Watch “Compur” chronograph from the mid-1930s, crafted in 18k yellow gold and fitted with a rare porcelain dial. It houses the large 33mm chronograph movement Cal.14 1/2.
The porcelain dial features the distinctive “Compur” logo in a unique font, dolphin-style indexes paired with bold blued steel hands, and the 18k yellow gold case with soldered lugs—all hallmarks of Universal Watch pieces made before the Universal Genève era.
Though moderately sized at 36mm, the prominent snail tachymeter scale and 20mm lug width give it a presence reminiscent of a 38mm watch. While the dial shows some cracks, the porcelain retains its unfading gloss and preserves the sharp detail of its intricate scales.
