Wittnauer, Valjoux 23 powered, chronograph, 36 mm dial size, water-resistant, two-tone silvered dial, circa 1940s. The two-tone silvered dial with its ageing effect and the screw-back water-resistant case with its original hairline and sharp edge, though scratched, give this watch a wonderful vintage look. A lot of watch manufacturers such as Rolex and Patek Philippe of the same era adopted the screw-back waterproof case with dustproofing and the famous Caliber Valjoux 23. With this, you can feel the high quality and attention to detail of Wittnauer, which handled leading brands such as Longines. This moderately large, water-resistant chronograph is a great vintage chronograph for everyday use.
