Manufactured in the 1940s, this is a rare and well-preserved Ulysse Nardin chronograph featuring the Valjoux 71 caliber, housed in a 37mm Staybrite steel cylinder case with a glossy black dial.
It is powered by the scarce Cal. 71, an enhanced three-register chronograph movement developed from Valjoux’s renowned Cal. 22. The substantial presence unique to a 37mm cylinder case fitted with a three-register chronograph movement is complemented by a black glossy gilt dial that retains a beautiful iridescent patina, giving the watch an outstanding visual impact.
With its exceptional quality and excellent state of preservation, this piece stands out as an especially rare example among Ulysse Nardin chronographs.
