Manufactured in the mid-1940s, Rolex Oyster Bubbleback Ref.2940 in stainless steel, featuring the highly popular Roman & Arabic numeral design, commonly known as a "Unique Dial." Among the many variations of the Bubbleback, this distinctively original dial design stands out with a strong presence, displaying beautiful vintage character through its aged patina.
The two-piece case, with bezel and mid-case constructed as a single unit, offers a robust feel, and despite its compact 31mm size, the watch has the unmistakable presence of a Bubbleback equipped with an automatic movement. It comes with a later-period original bracelet (wrist size fits up to 17.5cm).
Among the various color variations of the Unique Dial—such as black, pink, yellow, and silver—this example features the rarest, the Yellow Unique Dial.
