Manufactured in the 1940s, this Heuer is a baby chronograph featuring the renowned Valjoux 69 movement, housed in a stainless-steel, very rare three-piece waterproof case. Composed of a bezel, middle case, and screw-back, and fitted with round pushers, this piece was produced during the transitional period when brands such as Longines were experimenting with waterproof chronograph constructions.
It is powered by the ultra-small Valjoux 69 movement—then considered the world’s smallest chronograph caliber, with a diameter of only 23mm. The black gilt dial, beautifully designed with Roman numerals arranged in a roulette-style layout, showcases the high level of craftsmanship and design characteristic of this era.
Despite its compact 28mm size, the watch exudes remarkable presence thanks to the glossy black dial that retains its original luster throughout—a truly exceptional piece that captures the charm and technical ingenuity of 1940s Heuer.
