Manufactured in the early 1950s, this is a rare “Seamaster Calendar” model by Omega, powered by the Cal. 353 bumper automatic movement.
It houses the scarce Cal. 353, which was produced only for a short period beginning in 1950. Unlike later models featuring a date display at 3 o’clock, this example displays the calendar at 6 o’clock, giving it a distinctive and unique character.
The high-quality silver dial is adorned with applied numeral markers and elegant dolphin hands. It is equipped with a bumper automatic movement from the era before full-rotor automatic mechanisms became standard. The screw-back waterproof case features stylish fancy lugs, allowing one to fully appreciate the craftsmanship and distinctive design elements unique to this period.
